An early introduction to baseball for 3-4 year olds aimed at promoting good physical health while developing an interest in baseball. Little Newps is designed to be an enjoyable learning and sharing experience for all players and parents. Everyone bats and plays in the field each inning. No outs are recorded, no score is kept, and parents may accompany children onto the field. The very basics of fielding, hitting, and throwing are taught.
This is where it all begins as your children are introduced to the game of baseball. T-Ball is a non-competitive division that emphasizes teaching the basic rules and fundamental skills of baseball.

This is an exciting advancement as real baseball is played. Players continue to learn and refine the basic fundamentals of baseball while developing a broader knowledge of the game.
Batters hit off a pitching machine to ensure an easy to hit ball each at bat. Teams practice 1-2 times and play 1 game per week on Saturdays. Games are 6 innings long.
The managers and coaches attend a training clinic to learn basic skills and practice drills to teach the young Pinto players the basic fundamentals of baseball.
This will help the players achieve specific objectives for throwing, catching, fielding, base running and hitting. Players at this level are expected to hustle, play their best and have FUN in a safe and learning environment.
Teamwork, respect for the volunteer coaching staff and good sportsmanship is expected from the players and parents to insure a positive learning environment to help the players develop their baseball and life skills to the best of their ability.
This is the first year that kids will try out and be drafted. This is the first division where kids pitch to each other.
Kid Pitch is for more experienced players who are ready to learn to pitch and to hit pitched balls. All players wishing to play Kid Pitch must tryout. While the league is primarily for 8 year olds, some 7 year olds may try out if they are more advanced and ready to pitch. Pitching distance is 38 feet. Standings are kept and a playoff format follows the regular season.
Mustang 9-10 is a more advanced level of kid pitch. Kids will now pitch from 46 feet. Leadoffs are introduced. Coaching emphasis is placed on developing players’ overall baseball IQ, as well as developing pitchers and catchers. Standings are kept and a playoff format follows the regular season.
MLB rules Baseball. At this stage we again increase the size of the diamond - Broncos move up to 70-foot diamonds with 50-foot pitching. All 11 and 12 year olds play Bronco. 10 year olds are permitted to play in the Bronco division.
Pony increases the field size again to 80-foot diamonds with 54-foot pitching. This continues to help players gradually increase their skills and strength as they prepare for high-schools' 90-foot diamonds and 60-foot pitching. This league is for 13 and 14 year olds.
Practices and games will be at Eastbluff and NBBA will inter-league with Newport Harbor Baseball Association and other District Pony teams.
